I'm really excited for tonight because...
it's friday night, which also happens to be date night. As much as Ian and I see one another (because we live in the same house), the fact that we live with 4 other friends and have separate rooms means that we aren't able to have 100% alone time whenever we want, which is fine (:
But once in awhile there comes a night where we go out on a proper date, to a sit down restaurant with candlelight and a table for 2. It might be totally cliche to some, but it means the world to me because only then can we whisper sweet nothings and hold hands from across the table without worrying about other peoples gag reflexes.
That's probably my favourite bit- holding hands from across the table, even if it means clearing them salt and pepper shakers and whatever other table decor there is to the side. It only gets a little bit embarrassing when the server comes along and pauses for a split second for our hands to part, before putting the dishes down.
But it's okay, totally worth it (:
I love that Ian and I still get to go on proper dates, despite seeing one another everyday. It's just what's needed to keep the romance alive.
